THE GOSPEL

PRAYER

Thank you Lord for the entrance of your Word gives light and understanding. We thank you for the illumination, understanding and wisdom we are about to receive from your Word, we yield ourselves to the tutorship of your Word today ready to be transported to another level, in Jesus' Name. Amen.

God is concerned about people, He is concerned about their well-being, He is concerned about their salvation. Hallelujah!

This is the reason Jesus came to die for mankind. God wanted man to have a better life, to live like who He wanted them to be. Jesus came, died, was buried and rose for man to have a good life. He came to mend broken hearts, heal the sick, give hope to the downcast, strengthen the weak and make sinners become the righteousness of God.

Back in the garden, man strayed away through disobedience and lost fellowship with his creator. He was separated from God physically and spiritually. Since then, God has been on the look out for man. It's always God looking our for man, always God seeking to draw close to man. In order for Him to get man back, He sent Jesus to come and die for man, to bring man back to his proper place in God.

"The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance." 2 Peter 3:9.

He desires that you get saved, that you come to the knowledge of His saving power, which is the gospel of Christ. The gospel of Christ is God's only saving power.

"For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek." Romans 1:16.

Only through the gospel can God save man, it is God's only saving power.
The death, burial and resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ brought about the gospel and the gospel brings salvation. Hallelujah!
God desires that everyone comes to the knowledge of His saving power. God can't help or rescue anyone without the gospel; all of His power is wrapped up in the gospel and it works only for the man who believes. If you believe it would definitely and certainly work for you.

The Bible says,
"For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved." John 3:17.

God is not holding a big stick at or to anyone for their sins, He is not condemning anyone for their sins.
Jesus said,
"I am the door: by me if any man enter in, He shall be saved, and shall go in and out, and find pasture." John 10:9.

You are free to enter in, that is what He is saying. He is the door of the sheepfold and you can enter in at any time.

Salvation means you have confessed the Lordship of Jesus over your life and you have received eternal life, the all-conquering life of God. You are no longer subject to sickness, disease and infirmity,  you are no longer under satan’s authority. You are now living with the very life of God, a life that is superior to the system of this world.
With this life, you reign and rule in life because it carries in it the totality of God. This is the life that comes upon receiving the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ. Hallelujah!

This eternal life that has come to us as Christians is meant to be enjoyed and as we do so, we ought to spread the goonews of the gospel to those around us, those in our sphere of contact and in the world. They need to hear about this life so they can be liberated from the life of bondage, the life the world has brought before them, a life of pain and hardship into the God-life as they receive the gospel.

Jesus told us in Matthew 28:19-20,
Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen.

This is the great commission. We have been commissioned to go into all the world there is, the whole world itself, also, the world of bankers, doctors, lawyers, teachers, traders e.t.c. This makes you a minister pof reconciliation.
"And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation; To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation." 2 Corinthians 5:18-19.

"The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because He hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; He hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised, To preach the acceptable year of the Lord." Luke 4:18-19.

You are a minister of the gospel, let soul winning be your top priority no matter what you are involved in, let it be your passion. Identify your sphere of contact and reach out to those in it. Sinners need the gospel to live their destinies in God and you must not be quiet. Hallelujah!.

Lift up your hands and worship the Lord. Thank Him.
