Isaiah 40:30-31 “Even the youths shall faint and be weary, and the young men shall utterly fall, but those who wait on the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles, they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint.”
The word translated “renew” above actually means “to bring back to life.” The picture is that of a tree that’s been hewed and expected to die, but suddenly, there’s a change and it’s brought back to life. It’s a kind of transformation where “death” is replaced with a new life. The prophet likens this to what happens as we “serve” the Lord; as we work in His vineyard, our strength is renewed! Weakness is replaced with His divine might. It’s a kind of exchange, where you give your weakness to Him and you take His strength in place of weakness. Hallelujah! That’s the reason one of the synonyms of the Hebrew word translated as “renew” is “substitute”; it’s an exchange. So, your weakness is given up for His strength.
That’s God’s plan for you; He’s the One who gives power to the weak: “He gives power to the weak, and to those who have no might He increases strength” (Isaiah 40:29).
When you walk in sync with God’s Spirit, you’ll never run out of strength. Paul said, “For which cause we faint not; but though our outward man perish, yet the inward man is renewed day by day” (2 Corinthians 4:16).
As you “wait” on the Lord, working for and together with Him, there’s a renewal of your strength; you’re constantly refreshed, and rejuvenated by the Spirit of God, through the Word. This is what keeps a Christian fresh, and full of joy in the midst of turmoil and challenges; always on fire for Jesus.
SOME ATTRIBUTES OF AN EAGLE
This month is the month of Eagles.
Think what will happen this month and all the amazing blessings. They that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength. I'm borne on eagles wings.... Soaring....
The Bible tells you, you're going to mount up with wings as Eagles.
Eagles have several remarkable attributes that set them apart from other birds and contribute to their powerful and awe-inspiring presence. Here are some of the primary attributes of an eagle:
1. Vision and Focus
Incredible Eyesight: Eagles have one of the sharpest visual abilities in the animal kingdom. Their eyesight allows them to spot prey from miles away, even while soaring at great heights. In all the animal kingdom, the Eagle sees the farthest. It can spot a rabbit while in flight, two miles away. It sees four times as good as the best human.
Single-Minded Focus: Eagles are known for their intense focus, which enables them to lock onto a target and pursue it relentlessly until captured.
2. Strength and Power
Physical Strength: Eagles are powerful birds capable of carrying prey that can weigh nearly as much as they do. Their muscular build, especially in their chest, provides the strength needed for powerful wing strokes.
Strong Talons and Grip: An eagle’s talons are among the strongest in the bird world, allowing them to hold onto prey securely. Their grip strength is often compared to the bite strength of large mammals.
3. Speed and Agility
High-Speed Dives: Eagles can dive at speeds exceeding 100 mph (160 km/h), especially when catching prey. This speed helps them quickly cover distances to capture animals before they have a chance to escape.
Efficient Flight and Maneuverability: Eagles are agile in the air, able to maneuver quickly even at high speeds. Their broad wings allow them to soar for long periods without much energy expenditure.
4. Patience and Resilience
Patient Hunters: Eagles demonstrate extreme patience, often waiting for long periods until the perfect moment to strike. This patience is critical to their success as predators.
Resilient Nature: Eagles are known for their resilience and ability to survive in various challenging environments, from deserts and grasslands to mountains and forests.
5. Independence and Territoriality
Solitary Behavior: Eagles are primarily solitary, except when they are mating or raising young. They are highly independent hunters and often do not rely on group behavior.
Territorial: Eagles are fiercely protective of their territories, especially during breeding season. They defend their nesting sites against other animals and birds of prey.
Like the eagle, your strength is renewed. You don't wear out.
Think about a man like Caleb in the Old covenant, who at eighty-five years of age said "I am as strong today as I was when Moses said to go out for war". Joshua 14:11-12
At 120, Moses eyes were not dim and his physical stature was not abated. Deuteronomy 34:7
That's the Old covenant. Think what we have now as new creations. We have got something better!
Kingdom consciousness is vital;
Eternal life at work in you. They that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength. That's one of the things the Holy Ghost does in your life.
Remember the Holy Spirit rejuvenates you. That same spirit shall vitalize your mortal body.
Learn to live according to new testament principles and life.
You say to yourself, “I live by the Law of the spirit of life in Christ Jesus. It is working in my bones, ligaments, sinews, every cell of my blood and fibre of my body. Eternal life is at work in me.” (Romans 8:1-11)
