PRAYERFUL PREPARATION FOR THE NEW YEAR

Pastor Cheri

PRAYER

Thank you Lord for another time of fellowship with you in your presence, we open our hearts and our minds to receive from you and we receive gladly, with faith and meekness, in Jesus' Mighty Name. Amen.

“So teach us to number our days, that we may apply our hearts unto wisdom.” Psalm 90:12

As we celebrate the festive season, the birth of Christ, we should not become unmindful of the year coming to an end. This period signifies the change of season both in the spiritual and physical realms.

The New Year is too important for us to enter casually. We have the responsibility to hear from God about the year and commit our plans to Him.

Every meaningful project, initiative, endeavor and year begins with planning. Success begins with sitting down to plan. Success begins by first seeing what you want to achieve before you even start.

“For which of you, intending to build a tower, sitteth not down first and counteth the cost, whether he have sufficient to finish it?” Luke 14:28

2025 is a few days away and you must plan and prepare for it. You must define your goals, targets and purpose for the coming year. Have a plan for the expansion /growth of your business and career, academic excellence, finances, savings, partnership, growth of your cells, etc.

“Any enterprise is built by wise planning, becomes strong through common sense, and profits wonderfully by keeping abreast of the facts.” Proverbs 24:3-4

WHAT IS PLANNING?

1. Planning is the design of a step by step approach to accomplishing a set goal.

 2. It is the ordering of your priorities in order to accomplish a set goal.

3. It is the identification of actions required to help accomplish a set goal.

Planning gives value to purpose. Purpose is useless without planning. Planning empowers purpose; so, your planning determines how well you will achieve your purpose.

Nobody succeeds by accident. A plan-less future will end in frustration.

You don't plan when you are big; your planning today is the ingredient for becoming big tomorrow.

Those who will not sit to plan today will never be in charge tomorrow.

END OF YEAR FASTING & PRAYER

Every important endeavor begins with prayerful preparation.

Our 3 days End of year Prayer and fasting begins next Sunday December 29th – December 31st

It is a time of separation; it is a time to prayerfully plan for the coming year.

Prayer and fasting are spiritual activities (Luke 18:1).  These activities are essential to prepare us for the New Year.

The prayer and fasting is not for God to do anything. It's for us to be positioned to hear and know the mind of God.

“There are many devices in a man’s heart; nevertheless the counsel of the Lord, that shall stand.” Proverbs 19:21

During these 3 days, you must be separated to:

1. PRAY

Create time for prayer, worship and fellowship. Take different times of the day to have fellowship with the Spirit. Though you go to work and are about your business, take time to fellowship with the Word, take time to pray and speak particularly in tongues.

 2. STUDY OF THE WORD

Study the scriptures, listen to messages, and bombard your spirit with the word of God. Also select particular books you want to study during this period. For example Recreating Your World, When God Visits You, Power of the Mind, etc

3. PARTICIPATE IN THE PRAYER MEETING  (Sunday & Monday). Remember, Tuesday we will be the New Year’s Eve Service with our dear man of God.

WAKE UP EARLY TO STUDY, PRAY & SEPARATE YOURSELF UNTO GOD

In Mark 1:35, Jesus woke up a "great while before day" means the very early hours of the day before daily activities begin.

This time of the day is very strategic because there are no distractions as people are sleeping and the atmosphere is quiet and calm.

Take advantage of the early hours of the morning before you prepare for work, business or school. Start your day from the place of deep fellowship; there are no distractions at this time so you can focus on deep study and prayer.

After feeding 5,000 people Jesus wisely separated himself from his disciples to be alone to pray and fellowship with the Father.  Matthew 14: 22 -23

These 3 days are not times for conversing or gisting with friends or family members. Your bible must be your companion alongside praying. Make adequate and solid investment in your life in these 3 days of fasting and praying.

 A. Always have your writing materials with you during your times of fellowship because the Spirit of God will speak to you. He will inspire thoughts and ideas in your spirit, write them down and meditate on them. (Habakkuk 2:2)

B. Cut off distractions and focus on receiving guidance and direction from the Holy Spirit. (Avoid spending time on your phone especially social media platforms, watching TV, Soccer or movies during these 3 days).

Very importantly, attend the December 31st Service with our Man of God and receive the Rhema (the spoken Word of God) for 2025. Position yourself rightly with the accurate and precise Word of the Spirit for a glorious and victorious 2025.
