RISEN AND SEATED WITH CHRIST
“But God, who is rich in mercy, for his great love wherewith he loved us, Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved;) And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus.” Ephesians 2:4-6.
When Jesus died on the Cross, in the mind of justice, the whole world died with Him, because He died for all men. Easter season should be a time for us where we are filled with uncontrollable joy. Think about it: because of Jesus, we’ve been declared not guilty; justified; acquitted.
When Jesus died, we died with Him. When He was buried, we were buried with Him. When God raised Him from the dead, we were raised together with Him.
We were in Him in His death, burial, and resurrection. However, Christianity didn’t start from His death, but from His resurrection. When God raised Him from the dead, you were raised together with Him, and you became a new creation, alive to God.
JUSTIFIED WITH A NEW LIFE
“But for us also, to whom it shall be imputed if we believe on him that raised up Jesus our Lord from the dead; Who was delivered for our offences, and was raised again for our justification.” Romans 4:24-25
We weren’t justified by His death; we were justified by His resurrection.
When He was raised from the dead, He was born again (Acts 13:32-33). He’s the head of the new creation. The Bible says, “Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new” (2 Corinthians 5:17).
The new creation is the fruit of His redemption (Romans 8:23). You’ve been brought out of death—spiritual death—into life! You came alive with Christ; with His resurrection life. Knowing that you’ve been raised together with Christ, and seated with Him in the heavenly realms, the Bible says you should seek those things which are above. Have the consciousness of one who’s seated together with Christ in the place of dominion, glory and power. It’s a place where there’s no darkness, no sickness, no defeat, and no pain; a place of absolute mastery and authority.
The Bible says Jesus is seated at the right hand of God (the right hand of power). This means He has authority over all creation; over all of heaven and earth. But guess what? God has lifted us up into glory along with Christ. We sit with Him in the heavenly realms of power, dominion, and majesty (Ephesians 2:6). We occupy the same position of authority, with the power of attorney to act in His stead. What a blessed reality!
WHY THE RESURRECTION IS IMPORTANT
“For since by man came death, by man came also the resurrection of the dead. For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive” (1 Corinthians 15:21-22).
When Jesus died on the cross, He didn’t take the place of “Christians,” but the place of sinners. He came as man’s substitute. The whole world has been saved from the punishment of sin, but God’s interest wasn’t just to save man from the punishment of sin, but to save man from the life and nature of sin.
The death of Jesus Christ settled the charges against us, but it didn’t make us one with God or reconcile us to God! It didn’t bring us into friendship or relationship with God. It didn’t give us eternal life, until we took the very next step as revealed in Romans 10:9-10. It says anyone who confesses the Lordship of Jesus, and believes that God raised Him from the dead shall be saved.
Our individual confession of His Lordship, and belief in His resurrection, “activated” our salvation; it gave us eternal life, and brought us into oneness with God. We were awakened to the fatherhood of God, to the recreation of our spirit; to the fellowship of the Holy Spirit, and the efficacy of the Word of God.
Now, Jesus Christ isn’t only the Lord of your life, but also One in whom you’ve found rich and deep fellowship: “That which we have seen and heard declare we unto you, that ye also may have fellowship with us: and truly our fellowship is with the Father, and with his Son Jesus Christ” (1 John 1:3). This is what God always wanted with man: fellowship! Jesus made it a reality. Now, we’ve been made associates of the God-kind; we’ve become God’s dwelling place. All these were made possible, not by His death, but by His resurrection.
You’re not the same person that was born of your biological parents; that’s the old man that had the nature of sin. That old man died in Christ, and a new YOU was born when you were born again. No wonder He says in Romans 6:4, “Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.”
“If ye then be risen with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ sitteth on the right hand of God” (Colossians 3:1).
• Today, walk in the consciousness and light of your new life and nature in Christ. Live the victorious life of liberty and success.
• Tell everyone Christ is risen; no more death, no more sickness, no more poverty, no more pain, no more failure and despair! He paid it all! Preach the good news today. Win souls into the kingdom today!
This is how to celebrate Easter; walk in the newness of the transcendent life in Christ in you and tell everyone about this overcoming life today. Hallelujah!

FAITH AFFIRMATION
I affirm that God’s divine power is at work in me.
Christ is my life, my sufficiency, wisdom, and righteousness.
He’s made my life beautiful, fruitful, productive, and sound!
I am a custodian of divine verities; money is a slave of my ideas.
I fill my mind daily with the Word of God, and as I do, my eyes are opened to see opportunities all around me.
I am not ordinary; the Father has made me prosperous and effective; a blessing to this world, and a dispenser and distributor of His righteousness, love, kindness, and goodness.
All the wealth in this world belongs to me, for I am an heir of God and a joint-heir with Christ. The silver and the gold are mine, including the cattle upon a thousand hills; thus, I refuse to be limited by anything in this world.
I am a free-flowing conduit of God’s wealth and blessings to others, and I am plugged to an unending supply.
I rule and reign in this life, independent of the financial systems of this world.
I am fulfilling God’s purpose and plan for my life, walking in paths that He’s arranged for me. He’s made all things I require for life and godliness available to me, and I celebrate the grace of prosperity and abundance that I enjoy as the seed of Abraham.
The works of my hands are blessed and I am set on the path of permanent success and prosperity.
I do not know when the heat comes, for I am fashioned to flourish like the cedar in Lebanon. Glory to God. Hallelujah!
