CHRIST IS A PLACE 1

Pastor Cheri

PRAYER
Thank you Heavenly Father for the understanding we are about to receive from your Word, thank you for Your Wisdom about to be unveiled to our spirits, we open our minds and our hearts to receive today and we go back improved by Your Word, in Jesus' Name. Amen.

As Christians, we are identified with Christ. The word Christian is from the word Christ-like. This means we behave like Christ, we are just like Christ doing things like Christ, everything about us is like Christ. This is because we have been mingled with Christ.

Christ is a person which refers to Jesus. He is called Jesus the Christ or Jesus Christ.
We can relate with Him through the Person of the Holy Spirit. He brings the presence of our Lord to us.

Without the Holy Spirit, you can't experience Christ,  you can't experience the presence of Christ in your life, He brings this presence to us just as though Jesus were there with us which is so because, the Holy Spirit is Himself God.

Jesus told the disciples
"And I will pray the Father, and He shall give you another Comforter, that He may abide with you for ever; Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for He dwelleth with you, and shall be in you. I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you." John 14:16-18.
Comforter here means, one of the same kind, meaning the Holy Spirit is exactly like Jesus. The last verse, verse 18, reveals to us that the Holy Spirit is Jesus. It says," I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you." This means His coming back is in the person of the Holy Spirit, which is one and same as Jesus.

Through the agency of the Holy Spirit, we have the Father with us and we have Jesus with us. He is there to help our fellowship with the Father possible bringing us in union, mingling us with the Father and with Jesus. Hallelujah!

To be a Christian means you have come into Christ.
"Therefore if any man be in Christ, He is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new". 2 Corinthians 5:17.

Christ is a place, a place in God.  The day you gave your heart to Christ, the day you got born again, you came into Christ, you came into the place called Christ. Hallelujah! You now live in Christ, you home address is Christ. This is what it means when you tell someone you are in Christ. Hallelujah!

In this place called Christ, there is no darkness at all.
"This then is the message which we have heard of him, and declare unto you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all." 1 John 1:5.
This means all the negativities of life, sickness, death, poverty, disease, infirmities, weakness, lack and want, cannot have the dominion over you. Rather, you have a life filled with joy, peace, prosperity, health, abundance, beauty and excellence. This is the kind of life we have been called to live in the place called Christ.
This is where, as Christians we dwell, there is no other life for us as believers.

Those who are not saved don't have this opportunity because they are not born again hence they go through different kinds of pain and hardship, which become worse by the day and there is no solution. They end up running helter-skelter but still, no solution. They drink, take pills, go into unpleasant relationships, still no solution.

We must keep reaching out, we must keep preaching, so that many would find the way out of those unpleasant situations they have found themselves, so that they can embrace peace which comes from the Lord for only God can give them that peace which the world cannot give.

"Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid." John 14:27.

We must let them know they can only find peace in God. True and lasting peace comes from God and that is what the people of the world need to live that joyful and excellent life that God has planned for them  to live.

At this point, if you are not yet saved, if you are not yet born again, lift up your right hand and say this prayer out loud, believing with all your heart;
"O Lord God, I come to You in the Name of Jesus, I  believe You died for me and that You rose again to give me eternal life. Come and be the Lord of my life from today. I receive remission of sins for my soul. I receive you into my spirit. I declare that I am saved, I am born again. Thank you Lord, in Jesus' Name. Amen."

If you prayed that prayer, welcome to the family of God and congratulations. Click on  the First Timers/New Converts link below the page to send in your informations and for a free gift.

Lift up your hands and worship the Lord now.
